Center for Women and Families 2010 Annual Event
On Feb 25th at the Louisville Marriot Downtown, the triptych “Moving Forward Together” was showcased at the 23rd Anniversary Celebration of Service and Survival honoring the 2010 Women of Distinction. The Center for Women and Families signature event focused on their services for children who have witnessed abuse and violence.
INDA 5 Drawing Competition 2010
Drawing entitled “Seasons of Grace” was selected for the International Drawing Annual Exhibitions in Print; a juried competition that supports the recognition, documentation and publication of excellent, current and relevant works of drawing from around the world. From 1300 submissions, 114 works were selected from 23 states and 10 countries. In addition, the Online Supplemental Resource will provide biographical info, artist statements, and details of sample works for each artist included in the publication.
2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 NAEA Women’s Caucus Juried Art Exhibition:
Artists were invited to submit work relevant to the conference theme of social justice. Art work was selected through a juried process. Award winning artists were invited to the group exhibition at the Convention Center, to briefly speak about their artwork’s content and message relating to social justice. The artist’s art work was also included in a print exhibition catalogue and in an electronic exhibition at the conference.

Kentucky Foundation for Women – 2016 Artist Enrichment Grant Recipient
An award given to feminist artists who are committed to positive social change across the state of Kentucky - to create a series of paintings grappling with the idealistic images of women portrayed in the media. The process will challenge the artist to experiment with new techniques for working with texture, color, and varnishes, and the paintings will foster dialogue about the unrealistic and harmful standards the media sets for women and girls.
